The shows were FANTASTIC!! I can’t say enough about the poets who came. The kids were immediately engaged and Brendan had them cracked up… They did a great job of having the kids involved in the show.” – Teacher, Spectrum Community School

Brendan is the host of “All Star SLAM” – a poetry event geared at middle and secondary school audiences aimed to showcase on how inspiring, creative, and energizing poetry can be.

The show pits three poets against one another in a SLAM – a competitive format in which their poems are judged by the audience. In an event replete with student judges, boisterous cheers, disapproving boos, high-fives, and lots of great poetry, the event is guaranteed to have the students’s jaws dropping at what they see.  Drawing from a host of performers who, between them, have won everything from the World Slam runner-up to the Vancouver CBC Poetry Face-off, not mention the Vancouver Woman of the World Slam or the Vancouver Haiku Death match, the line-up will include hip hop inspired freestyles, suitabe love poetry, amazing hilarity, and insightful revelations.
