What’s Been Going Down…
Le Bonjour, I’m writing this at a coffee shop in North Vancouver, waiting to get back into the studio to hear the final mixez on the new Fugitives EP, due to hit Canada in October. I did not mean to spell ‘mixes’ with a ‘z’, but now that I have, I’m not going back on it.
The mixes will be that good! (Sorry; ‘mixez’. Word.) We are really psyched about what we’re about to release, and we’re really psyched after having just played the weekend at Cafe Deux Soleils with our newest member, Adrian Glynn (www.adrianglynn.com), who was well received by everyone, which is justly so, because he rules. We’re headed to Ontario demain to play Toronto and then the Mariposa Folk Fest. I’ll stay out there for a bit by myself to feature at the poetry slam out there. So, if you’re in Ontario, we’ll see you soon!
And if you haven’t seen ‘Away We Go’, the new flick written by Dave Eggers and his wife, go see it. It got rampaged on the reviews, but reviewers hate life. It’s a great movie about a great, earnest, interesting issue: how best to raise your kid and the expectations you should place on it and yourself as a result. Great!
I just called a baby ‘it’.
Mixez!
