After a successful debut of my spoken word course at Langara last spring, we are doing it again! Yes! Spoken word! In university!
This time it will happen as an intensive, from Nov. 17-19 at Langara College.
Course times are as follows:
Friday, Nov. 18: 7:00-10:00pm
Saturday, Nov. 19: 10:00-4:00pm
Sunday, Nov. 20: 10:00-4:00pm
THE DEADLINE FOR APPLYING IS NOVEMBER 10.
This is a NON-DEGREE COURSE. That means anyone can apply. You need not be a Langara student. It’s for life skills. Yeah, life skills!

The course is callled: CREA 1079: Stage and Page — Poetry Exploration
Course description:
Explore the art of spoken word. Focusing on current forms, like SLAM poetry, beginner students will learn to write for live performance in a safe, supportive environment. Experienced students will improve their writing and oral presentation skills. Open to writers of all levels.
