Performance Art

Tackle me, for a dollar occurred on January 24, 2009, outside the art gallery in downtown Vancouver.
It is what it looks like. I stood outside the art gallery and asked passing strangers to tackle me, provided they paid me a dollar.
The photos and video were shot by Randall Okita.
The art exhibit for ‘Tackle me…’ premiered at The Public Lounge on May 17th. It was a rousing success. It was amazing fun. The exhibit received an ‘Arts Choice’ from The Georgia Straight which you can check out by clicking here
‘Tackle me, for a dollar’ was conceived and carried out by Never be Lonely, a Vancouver performance art collective. You can contact them at: neverbelonelyvancouver@gmail.com
The artist statement for this is coming. Seriously, it’s more about having fun.
The music on this track is entitled ‘Instrumental’ by a great Calgary punk band called The Madcowboys. Check them out: www.myspace.com/madcowboys
